Dagna Cardigan Class
If you are intimidated by colorwork and steeking, this is the class for you. This cardigan has bottom up construction, knit in the round with a steek and a colorwork yoke.
Astrid Robitaille (known by many at the shop!), who has won numerous awards for her stranded colorwork, will be the instructor for this class.
Kristin Drysdale, the designer of Dagna, will join one of the class sessions via zoom. Her creative niche is Nordic knitting and her knitwear designs are sought around the world.
This class is 4 sessions. There will be homework between sessions and you will cut the steek (yikes!) in the last session.
DATES/TIMES:
January 8th, 10:00am – 12pm
January 29th, 10:00am – 12pm
February 12th, 10:00am – 12pm
February 26th, 10:00am – 1pm
COST: $110 (plus materials)
HOMEWORK:
-Buy materials and pattern (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dagna-cardigan)
-Knit a swatch in the round to make sure you have the correct gauge for the pattern (20 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on larger needles)
MATERIALS:
-Worsted weight yarn in two colors (one color for the body and a contrasting color for the yoke)
-32” & 16" circular needles to obtain gauge & smaller needles for ribbing and button band
-Tapestry needle
