Technique Lab: German Twisted Cast On & Judy's Magic Cast On
While the long tail cast-on is the most common, patterns will often specify to use another. This lab will focus on the German twisted cast on & Judy’s Magic Cast on. The German Twisted cast on method is both stretchy and neat and often recommended for top-down socks. Judy’s Magic cast on is a double-sided cast on that can be used for many projects that are worked in the round and is often used for toe-up socks.

Materials Needed:
- Light colored worsted weight yarn (enough yarn to make a swatch)
- US 7or 8 needle (32” fixed circular )
